PRIVACY POLICY
Your information, handled with care.
What we collect through this website and our services, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Draft for review by Sunfix's legal team. It describes how this website works today and is not yet an approved legal document.
Who we are
This policy explains how Sunfix handles personal information collected through this website and when you contact us. "We", "us" and "our" mean the Sunfix and CUSCEN entities listed on our Global Presence page. The entity you deal with, usually the one in your country, is responsible for your information.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiries. The contact form on this website does not send anything to our servers. It prepares an email in your own email app, and we receive only what you choose to send: typically your name, company, work email, country and message.
- Business contacts. Details you share with us in meetings, emails, events or project work, such as your name, job title, company and contact details.
Information stored in your browser
- Your privacy choices, and, if you allow it, your location and language preference. These stay on your device. See our Cookie Policy.
Information collected by services we use
- Hosting. Our hosting provider records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and secure the website.
- Fonts and images. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and some photographs from Unsplash's image service. These providers receive your IP address and browser details when the files load.
- Translation. Only if you turn on full-page translation, page text and your IP address are sent to Google Translate, and Google may set cookies.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss solutions you are interested in.
- To prepare proposals, deliver services and manage our contract with you or your organization.
- To run, secure and improve this website.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
- To send you information about our services, only where the law allows it or you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
Depending on your country, we rely on your consent, on the need to take steps towards or perform a contract, on our legitimate interests in running our business (balanced against your rights), or on legal obligations.
International transfers
Because we operate in 14 locations across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, your information may be accessed from or stored in countries other than your own. When this happens we use safeguards required by the applicable law, such as contractual protections and access limited to the people who need it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and client and contract records for the period required by law and our contracts. We then delete or anonymise the information.
How we protect it
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, and staff training. No system is completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been put at risk.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete information, or to limit how we use it;
- object to certain uses, including direct marketing;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier use;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email info@sunfixconsulting.com with the subject line Privacy request. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond.
